Trailblazer (NBA) Nails!!!

Good Morning!

Today I have some fun, sporty nails for you. My husband and a few of his friends including my good friend Ami have a quarter-season package and looooove the Blazers. I love the Blazers, too, I was even a ball girl for them a few times when I was younger, however I don’t go to the games. Anyway, I wanted to work up some Blazer nails for Ami for next time they have a game. (Although I think we should do a little #12 jersey on a nail for one of her fav Blazers, LaMarcus Aldridge!) She’s gonna come over before one of the games and I’m going to do her nails/help her do her nails so she’s all festive for the game 😀

Here are my Trailblazer Nails:

Left Hand

I did the pinwheel by drawing it in pen on a sheet of newsprint (the bottom of a page of the newspaper) and then using the newsprint transfer method to transfer the image. It got really smudged, as you can see (I think I used too much ink, I should have draw it more lightly) but I just left it because I kind of liked the vintage look and it was late and I didn’t want to start all over. ;p

The design here is pretty self-explanatory, but the polishes I used were:

• Essie Feed Me basecoat
• China Glaze Lubu Heels as the base color (review to come)
• SH Insta-Dri in Rapid Red (I free-handed the stripes!!! I’m so proud!)
• Finger Paints Black Expressionism (this polish does NOT work for me by itself, but it’s a GREAT nail art polish)
• Ulta Concrete Evidence

Overall, I thought these nails were super cute! I wore them the day of the game against the Sacramento Kings and guess what? We WONNNN!!!! It had to be me. 😉
