R.I.P. Textured Tuesday

Hey There Polished People,

Today we say goodbye to a friend gone too soon. Textured Tuesday, or TT to her friends, lived a short but happy life and was called up to the big salon in the sky this morning. TT will join other past challenges such as the 31 Day Challenge, and the football challenge, and is survived by her more popular sister Stamping Saturday, and her newborn sister who is yet to be named but will begin in April. TT was nice, filled a missing niche and always tried her best but in the end she passed quietly in her sleep from unpopularity. In lieu of sending flowers, please post your own textured manicure in memory of TT on my Facebook page. Textured Tuesday would like us to celebrate her life instead of mourning her death so in true Textured Tuesday fashion, I’d like to share a textured mani.

RIP Textured Tuesday Mani

I used ChG Sand Dolla Make You Holla over white, then dotted Hot Cinnamon, Tangerine Dream, Rock Candy, Blueberry Fizz and Crushed Candy (all Julie G) down the center of each nail in rainbow order. No topcoat of course to preserve the textured finish.

Are you into textured nail art or are you happy TT bit the dust? I’m on the cusp of being completely over textured nails. I definitely only like matte textured polishes. This China Glaze one and their other vomittastic semi-glossy textures don’t do it for me. Thank you all for reading and commenting and till next time- Happy Polishing!!

  1. I’m not a fan of textured polish so the passing will not be mourned by me. Can’t wait to see who the new kid on the block will be though – roll on April 🙂

  2. “in the end she passed quietly in her sleep from unpopularity.”
    This made me LOL.
I’m kind of over textured polishes at this point, though I do have a few favorites; Zoya Vespa and Layla Softouch Turquoise Splash still jazz up my hands when I’m not feeling the smooth and glossy look.

  3. *slow clap for Nicole* Well done, well done.
I personally will kind of miss TT. Textures aren’t my favorite, but of course I have them because FADS!, so it was a way to get me to think about using them and enjoy being part of the group/seeing what others come up with. She will be a fond memory for me, but I won’t mourn too much…I’m getting pretty jazzed about our new installment. 😉
And, by the way, I really love this manicure, with its odd base color texture and all. I will be copying it when I try out this weird funfetti polish for myself.

    • Yeah I agree, I did enjoy being sorta forced to use all my textured polishes but ehh oh well. I am looking forward to the new challenge so I hope everything doesn’t get vetoed except turds and similar things. I don’t think I want to do that type of mani so… Idk. Oh well, it should be fun anyway. 🙂

  4. This is screaming rainbow brite in a weird way to me. I highly enjoyed your TT obituary, it made me sorry to see it go bye bye even though it was so short lived I didn’t get a chance to participate. I’m excited for our new venture though!
