Hey There Polished People!!
Who likes green polish?! This girl!! I also like blue and red and orange and yellow and brown and black and glitter and matte and this and that… but I also really like GREEN! I have a ton of blue-greens but I don’t actually have TOO many legit greens. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I probably have 3 times as many as a normal person, but compared to all my other colors the greens are lacking. Maybe I don’t have many greens because when I was in high school I played basketball. Actually, I played basketball from 4th grade till college. I was always really shy so trying out was really nerve-wracking and one year I didn’t even try out and just played on a recreational team (and was the team captain!) but when I did try out I was pretty decent and always made the good team. Anyway, sometimes we’d have morning practice. Morning practice is when you practice before school at like 6 am then have to shower and ready yourself for school in the locker room. I HATED that part. Well for whatever reason we’d all share clothes and hoodies and whatever and one day I borrowed my friend’s green hoodie. One of the other girls told me that I looked SICK IN GREEN!! And not sick like, mannn that’s sick!! (Good) She meant sick like ill. 😦 It was a sad day cuz I really was feeling that hoodie. Ever since that day I never wore green cuz I thought I looked awful in it. I have recently in the last few years decided that I look just fine in green and that girl was just trying to get attention/was jealous/rude/a turd. Now I wear green whenever I wanna wear green, whether it’s clothes or nail polish or even eye makeup. Sometimes I even wear head-to-toe green and look like a curvy celery stalk. Just kidding about that part. :p When I picked up this next polish I was soooo happy because it’s just beautiful! Let’s just get down to it, shall we?
China Glaze Running In Circles
Color:
Running In Circles is a beautiful crisp green shimmer polish. It’s so foily and sparkly that it’s hard to get a picture that does it justice. It’s similar to Blue Bells Ring in the formula. So metallic and lovely. It’s really quite a bright emerald green, but in different light it looks a bit darker.
Formula/Application:
Although I said Running in Circles is similar to Blue Bells Ring in finish, it’s so much different in formula. BBR stains like heck and is such a disastermess that I can hardly wait to trade it/give it away/ anything cuz I hate it so much. Running In Circles is AWESOME!!! Doesn’t stain at all, doesn’t do the weird turn-silver-before-it-dissolves thing like BBR and just looks great.
Yes, Please! or No, Thank You:
YES, PLEASE! In fact, forget  your manners cuz this is a gimme gimme gimme! I seriously love this. The green is so pretty, the formula is spot-on, it’s sparkly and wonderful. You should get this. Like now. Just go.
If I Named This Polish I Would Call It: Glitzy Green Glamour
I guess this isn’t all that funny but it’s fitting. 🙂
How do you like this polish? Do you have another excellent green recommendation for me? Also- what would YOU name this polish? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading and till next time- Happy Polishing!! 😀
That is a very pretty shimmery green. A good green for St. Patty’s Day.
LOL! Your story about green had me chuckling. That girl was definitely jealous- I bet you look sick (the good kind of sick) in green! 😉
Running in Circles is sooo pretty, I need to try it out asap!
Thank you! 🙂 haha. Yeah I seriously had a “green” complex forever!! Silly. Anyway, you should definitely give this a go, it’s so pretty, clean up is NOT a pain at all.. it’s awesome. 🙂
Screw that girl! A curvy Celery stalk? Hahaha. So glad I follow you now we would get along smashingly IRL! Rock the green that polish is so sparkly, it looks good on your skin tone too!! It’s the year of green too. So wear a shade every week!
I’m sure we would! I know we chat a lot on Twitter but thanks for checking out my blog and leaving a comment! I love this polish. Even if it looked like crapola I’d still wear it. 🙂 Year of green huh? I guess I’m right in style then with my green top for new years, this green polish… who knew?! 😉
Wow Nics! This green is WOW! No words! It is breath taking!
If I were to name it, I’d call it Mermaid’s tail as it seems fitting to be the colour of the mermaid’s tail!
Also that chick WAS a turd because green looks amazing on you.
A green I’d recommend is Tip Top’s Atomic green. There is a swatch on my blog somewhere, I’ll tweet you the link. You can’t get it there by you but you can buy it online from Joan (CEO of Tip Top). It’s a metallic, dark, forest green. It’s one of two greens I own that I love (worship)!
Oh I know, isn’t it so pretty?! I love it. Thanks for the tip on that other green. It sounds pretty!
Love that green! And of course it looks lovely on you!
Thanks! 🙂
Looks like I’m going to be in the minority here, but I just don’t like it. I think it’s the shiny flaky metallic looking finish. I like the color alright, but I think I just was not impressed with the whole Cirque du Soleil collection and then they had to put out that monstrosity known as the Tranzitions collection to really cement their bad standing in my eyes. haha Btw, that whole fiasco of a collection is really getting on my nerves especially because so many of the bloggers who got the collection for review are trying to play it up like it’s nice. WTF? Those polishes are hideous with a terrible formula and really ugly streaky colors. China Glaze really hit it out of the park with the On Safari collection but then they bring out these turd collections? Oh well.
Aghhh!! YOU DONT LIKE THIS?!?! Nah, I’m jk. 🙂 It’s funny that you say that about the Tranzitions polishes because even when they first came out I wasn’t impressed but it looks like they’re a real turn to apply just like you’re saying, and when you try to do dots of tc or stripes to add the nail art part they’re all uneven and weird looking. I thought at first, well they’re good for people who don’t have a lot of polishes and who want to do a little something interesting with their nails, but the more I think about it I’m with you. I did like this collection ok tho. I got Creative Fantasy which I know is a snooze for you, but I really like it (cuz I don’t have anything like it), I like this one, and I actually like Get Carried away and even Whirled Away. The only problem with that b&w one is that NONE of the glitter wants to come out so it gets all gummy and weird when you try to apply it. And if you thin it then the glitters just refuse to come out at all. I will probably use it again, cuz it’s not THAT hard, but it isn’t as easy as I would like it to be. Maybe they’ll have some fun color for their spring collection. They’re coming out with those holos some time this year.
Ah! This is such a great green!!
I hope you get a chance to listen to the new No Doubt album! I really like it and I think you will too! 😀
Thanks! I’ll have to buy a few songs and see how I like it. I really did love them like in high school. 🙂
You must try out Zoya Logan. It’s a deep glittery shimmery green. Darker more like a forest green than this Kelly green. I have a secret passion for China Glaze Cast a Spell is a gorgeous dark olive green with gold shimmer. It looks black at first glance and then as you look closer you can see it’s a rich deep green, sooo pretty. I love greens too. I have a drawer full, but still have my eye on more. L’oreal has a new one out that is a bright neon limey green called New Money, it’s so pretty but I haven’t bought it yet. I had it in my hand, but seeing as it’s new and easily available I ended up getting some leftover holiday polishes that were on sale instead. I have some other greens too worth mentioning but my hubs is taking a nap and I don’t want to disturb him, so I can’t go look in my polish cabinet right now. Later I will look and let you know which ones are worth checking out 🙂
Ooh I will have to look into that. I don’t have any Zoyas!! That’s just wrong, huh? Every time they have their flash sales I’m broke or busy or whatever and never pick any up. I do love colors like that ChG tho… I have a couple that are of a similar flavor. They’re like that Chanel peridot or whatever… kinda shifty and dark and pretty. 😉 Thanks for the tip!!
What a little turd…not you, the anti-nicole in green girl. Anyways! When I read the title to this post I was like ” I knooooooooooooow, isn’t it AWESOME?!”. Aside from It’s a Trap-eze, Running in Circles was the only other polish I got from the Cirque Collection. I did not expect to be interested in it until I saw it in front of me and it sucked me in. Its one of those polishes I bought that I’m super happy and kind of relieved I bought. I know if I didn’t and then saw swatches I’d have another regret. It looks great on you so keep rocking the green!
Thanks!! And I’m glad I’m not the turd!! Haha. I really wanted its a trapeze but then I just never got it and the excitement for it just kinda wore off. How do you like it? Do you think I should keep my eye out for it? I do love this green though. So sparkly and pretty. 🙂
“I have a ton of blue-greens but I don’t actually have TOO many legit greens. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I probably have 3 times as many as a normal person, but compared to all my other colors the greens are lacking.” SAME HERE!
I think this is FANTASTIC. This is the only polish I bought out of the Cirque collection and I justified it by saying it was sufficiently different from anything I had.
I actually can look kind of sick (like sickly) in green. It’s not the greatest color for me, but it’s do-able. I am always, ALWAYS drawn to green in jewelry…given color options, I’ll always pick the green one! It’s my brother’s favorite color, too.
Yes, I didn’t have anything just like this. In fact I didn’t have any of this flaky shimmery finish at all until I got OPI Goldeneye and then ChG Blue Bells Ring (which I severely dislike) and this one. I love love love this one though. I like green a lot too, in fact my living room is green. It looks cool and I really loved it in the beginning but it’s kind of a bold color choice to stick with for too long so I’m ready to repaint.
