31 Inspired Days of Nail Art- Animal Print

Hey There Polished People!!

For the previous installment of our 31 Day Challenge I did floral nails which you may remember. If you don’t remember you can see my floral nails here. Anyway, my point is that I did floral but guess what I was supposed to do? Animal print!! Haha. Somehow I got my days mixed up and posted my floral nails on Friday and am posting my animal print nails today! Oh well…. let’s just hope I don’t do that all the time!! Haha. Anyway- let’s check out today’s nails which are, in fact…

Animal Print Nails

How To Get These Nails:

  1. Base coat.
  2. Paint your nails not quite half and half but like 3/5 and 2/5 or even 1/3 and 2/3 with Jessica Secret Love (pink) and ChG Aquadelic (turquoise).
  3. Apply a coat of Seche Vite over the entire nail and allow to dry thoroughly. You’re going to use tape so you need to have your nails completely dry.
  4. When your nails are completely dry, you can use scotch tape, masking tape or even sticky notes to cover the turquoise parts of your nails. Use stamp BM 223 and Konad special white to stamp the zebra print onto the pink side.
  5. Apply a coat of Seche Vite over the zebra stripes.
  6. When the pink side is completely dry, use the tape or sticky notes to tape over the pink side leaving the turquoise side exposed. Use BM 221 and Konad special white to stamp the cheetah print over ChG Aquadelic.
  7. Use Jessica Secret Love and a dotting tool or toothpick to fill in the cheetah spots.
  8. When the pink is totally dry (we don’t want smearing!!) apply a coat of Seche Vite over the turquoise side.
  9. Apply one final coat of Seche Vite over the entire nail to smooth it all out.
  10. Show your friends!! πŸ™‚

Well, even though it’s late and on the wrong day, I hope you still like my animal print nails! πŸ™‚ Please leave a comment and let me know!! I was pretty happy with them except for the fact that my stamping is messy. I think I was in too big of a hurry but oh well.. it happens. πŸ˜‰ Make sure to use the button below to check out Alaina and Cynthia’s floral nails. It’s good that MOST of us know what day it is!! Haha. Also below you can find the schedule for the rest of the days of our challenge. I guess I’m the one who needs to pay more attention! πŸ˜‰ As always thanks for reading, and till next time- Happy Polishing!! πŸ˜€

    • You’re right it does remind me of those. All the bright colors and little animals w humungo oversized eyes! Haha. All I need is some glitter and these would be SO Lisa Frank! Haha.

  1. I freaking love the colors that you used here…they just play off each other so well. I am not sure that I remember Lisa Frank but I can almost swear that I had a Trapper Keeper folder that looked a lot like this…maybe it had the same color scheme or something. Do you remember Trapper Keepers and Pee Chee folders? lol Man, I feel old right now.

    • Yes I do!!! Trapper keepers were like so cool and somehow oddly like futuristic at the time like whooooaaaaaa mannnn a binder than has a little flap and some pockets!!! Mind. Blown. HA! And pee chees… I had the hideously ugly, peed-on-parchment-paper colored ones with the super archaic sports figures on them. Whyyy???

      • Cause they were cool. All the kids had them. I always wanted tons of Trapper Keepers because I wanted to change them out each week. Then I wanted all the Jansport backpacks with the leather at the bottom

        • Oh my goodness I remember those being like old and not the new style. I clearly didn’t get into backpacks as soon as you. Haha. I also remember when the binders w the pockets for pictures came out. Oh my gosh I had one of those like all through high school I think and also in college. Dang… we were sooooo cool!

          • Wait…I don’t remember binders with pockets for pics. I do remember the 3 ring binders that had a plastic covering and you could slip pictures in there if you wanted. I think I did collages and other silly things to put in there.

            • Oh no these ones like basically had picture frames that you slid your pictures into. If I ever run across an old one in a closet somewhere I’ll show you! They were the coolest! Seriously tho- they were pretty cool.
