Good Morning Polished People,
The weird thing about nail polish collections is that something will be rumored to be released, then you’ll see like ONE promo pic, or people will post pictures of them at Cosmoprof (which just happened in Vegas last weekend) and then you’ll hear exactly nothing more about them. This is what is happening with the new Color Club holographic polishes. I saw some pictures of them from Cosmoprof on Twitter, and believe me they looked FANTASTIC, and now I can’t find any info on them at all. I did find a blog post that said they’ll be out on August 15th, but even on the Color Club website there is nothing about them. I don’t even know the name of them. Aaaaaghhh!!! I have got to get my hands on those and I don’t even know the name, the release date (not for sure anyway) or where to find them. Until I figure out how to get my hot little hands on those Color Club holos, I am consoling myself with my old Layla holo. 🙂
Bow-Worthy Holo Nails
In sunlight these nails shine like a rainbow. Don’t mind the chip on my index finger. That happens, working at a park… 
In the shade these nails are just a pretty metallic slate. 🙂 Sorry about the messy cuticles, I didn’t realize they were so bad till I saw this picture!! Haha.
How To Get These Nails:
- No base coat with this polish!!
- Paint your nails with 2 coats of Layla Flash Black.
- Apply a coat of Seche Vite, allow to dry thoroughly.
- When nails are dry and hard, use stamp BM 317 and Konad Special Black polish to stamp the little bow on each nail.
- Apply a final coat of Seche Vite.
- Try not to chip your nails hooking up water lines, etc at work. :p
I wasn’t a huge fan of these nails. I thought I should stamp SOMETHING on them because I thought plain polish was too boring, but with beautiful polish like this, I think simpler is better. The bows are cute and all, and I can see myself using them again, but I don’t really think they look right on these nails. They just look flat in comparison to the pretty holographic goodness.
What do you think? Do you like stamping over your holo polish? Also, and most importantly- PLEASE tell me EVERYTHING you know about the Color Club holo polishes. Have you seen them anywhere? I like these, but you sort of talked me be just out of the stamp, haha. I think stamping over holos is a bit mixed for me…I like it, but then I overall thing holos should maybe be left on their own.
I know nothing about the CC holos other than I hope Cynthia scores in a biig, big way at her nail places!
What?!! Get to using that!!! I bet it’s going to be amazing. 🙂 I totally agree w you on the stamp- holos are meant to stand alone. Glad I could talk you out of liking my nails. Haha. My job is done.
Oh man..I don’t think I’ve seen or heard anything about the Color Club holos lol…I really like the added bow over the holo on this mani! It’s really cute!

Why didn’t my Flash Black look like this?? Mine looks so weird. 😦 Damn it…$15 polish that doesn’t work out really hurts! So I am not liking stamping over holos period. I dunno…I just don’t like it…probably because when I tried it it was such a freaking disaster. I am beyond curious about how the CC holos will measure up and hope we start seeing some early swatches so I know which ones I need. Ok, you know we need them all so who am I kidding?
Yeah stamping over holos is a losing battle. I’ve yet to find a combo I really like. You just destroy the holographic effect and/or the contrast between the two polishes is just weird.
We do need ALL the CCs. At least I do, unless they are like crazy expensive. If they’re just like 6 bucks- they’re mine. I know they’re gonna be more expensive than the regular CCs but I wouldn’t think they’d be more than like a dollar or two more than regular. Speaking of new polishes- are you gonna snatch up any of the OPI Germany polishes?
I don’t know anything about the CC holos either except they are supposed to be released in August 😦 I don’t have ANY linear holos, can you believe that?!? It stresses me out to be so in the dark…I can’t think about it…now I’m all worried.

You should really get at least one from some brand. They’re really pretty!! And fun!
I don’t know if you found the CC holos or not but they’re called Halo
Hues. The colors are: Harp On It, Cloud Nine, Halo-Graphic, Blue Heaven, Cherubic and Angel Kiss. Hope this helps. I just found your blog and I love it! Awesome nail art! 🙂
