Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow

You know how you can look at a word or say it or type is so many times that it stops making sense and you start thinking you spelled it wrong? Well that just happened to me after typing that title. I’m like, Does ‘yellow’ really have a ‘w’? Why do we call it ‘yellow’ anyway… yellow yellow yellow yellow….. It’s like in Black Sheep where Chris Farley keeps saying ‘road’ and pretty soon he’s like “Row-Addd Row-Adddd.” That’ me right now. Someone get me a little coat.

Anyway- Good Morning Polished People!!

Contrary to what you’re probably thinking after reading that interesting intro, I am a big Wiz Khalifa fan but I swear I am NOT, in fact, high while I right this! haha. I do really love him though. I liked his first album a LOT, loved almost every song and I can’t wait till his new album drops. I don’t know when it does, but I already have the Work Hard Play Hard single and keep checking iTunes for the album! Anyway- today’s nails are some stamped nails that I wore when I subbed last week. I haven’t done any stamping for a while but since Alaina at The Little Canvas added me to her blogroll and bestowed the much-sought-after “Queen Of Stamping” title on me, I feel like I better get cracking and live up to the title. The only problem is that now I’ve been singing this tune for the last 15 minutes:

You are the stamping queen. Young and sweet only seventeeeeennnnnn/ Stamping queen, feel that beat from the tambouriiiiiine/ You can stamp, you can ji-ive having the time of your life/ Oooh Oooh See that girl, watch that scene, she is the stamping queen

Okay, so maybe all the lyrics don’t really fit, but the truth is I had to google them so basically my version went “Stamping queen.. hmm hmm hmmm hm hm hm hmmm hmm hmmmmm!” Anyway… Enough with the rambling on about songs. Just look at my dang nails!

Black and Yellow Stamped Nails:

How To Get These Nails:

  1. Base coat them bad boys (I used Essie Feed Me)
  2. Apply 3 coats of L’Oreal Tweet Me
  3. Apply 1 coat of Seche Vite, allow to dry thoroughly
  4. When your nails are completely dry (don’t squoosh a good manicure!!) use Konad Special Black and RA 114 to stamp the design on each nail
  5. Allow to dry completely, then verrrry carefully apply a coat of Seche Vite making sure to never go over the same spot twice
  6. After your first quick and careful coat of Seche, I always like to add a final generous coat. 🙂
  7. Impress. yo’. friends. 😉

How do you like these nails? Have any of you got your hands on the Red Angel plates? I think I can officially say I love them!! 😀 As always, thanks for reading and Happy Polishing!! 😀

PS: Shout out to my “baby bro” who turns 25 today!! He doesn’t even know I have a blog, so he wont be reading it but y’know… it’s just not right unless I acknowledge it 😉

  1. Yay…happy birthday to your bro. 🙂

I love this stamp. I need to get my hands on them. I know that you’re waiting for the new BM plates to come out. Could you please let me know when they do come out? I know I’m going to forget since I haven’t been doing that much stamping lately.

It’s so funny that you mentioned ABBA because I had just written how I’m obsessed with ABBA. lol

    • Great minds!!! 😉 And yes I’ll letcha know. I checked last week and they said 2 weeks so they should be coming out any day now! I’m excited. There were some REALLY cute designs that they released pics of.

  2. lol! Oh I hate when that happens…I’ll keep looking at the word and second guess the spelling…haha!
I think this looks amazing! Yay for being the stamping queen! Haha awesome.

    • Thanks! Haha. My stamps don’t always turn out that great but on occasion they’re nice and crisp 🙂 There’s a word for that- when you read or say a word so much it stops making sense… but I don’t remember it. :-/
