Hey Everyone!
Today I have another polish from the Orly Flash Glam collection to share with you. I’ll be showing you Sashay My Way. š One time someone told me I was “adventurous with color” when it comes to my nails. I always try different colors, never worry about them clashing and just really enjoy trying different combinations. Since they bestowed that title upon li’l ol’ me I felt like I needed to live up to that. So- even though I thought it might be quite hideous when I thought about pairing this gold multi glitter with chartreuse I told myself “Hey, Nicole! You’re adventurous with color! Go for it!!” And so I did. š I’ll review Sashay My Way after the pics.
So Ugly They’re Cute (?) Nails:
Look at that sparkle! š This is a little blurry on the bottom, but you can see how pretty that glitter is.

Color:
Sashay My Way is a gold hex and bar glitter, mixed with a little bit of holographic hex glitter in a clear base.
Formula/ Application:
Like the other glitters in this collection, this polish is a little thick but not problematic. I actually think the thickness of the base helps the glitter to not be quite as rough as other glitters. The bars sometimes want to stick up a little or hang off the end, but while the polish is wet you just have to smooth em down or tap them back onto your nail. This is not unique to this polish- bar glitter takes a little extra patience. I can just imagine Cynthia at Of Life and Lacquer throwing up on herself right now just THINKING about this glitter. Some of us nail polish freaks just ARE NOT into glitter… and I guess that’s ok ;p

Yes Please! I like the different types of glitter, I’m a fan of bar glitter and I think the holo bits really give this polish a different look. The holo pieces are what made me think I should layer it over the chartreuse. Now, do I think THAT is a winnning combination? Not particularly, but I’m all about contrast and having some gaudily clashy and sparkly nails is A-OKAY with me! š Lord knows I only wore em for ONE day! š

I don’t love gold, so I wouldn’t wear it. But it’s not ugly.
I don’t wear gold either… Guess I made an exception for this day. š
You know me too well. I just threw up in my mouth a little. lol I really hate gold…especially yellow gold jewelry. All I can think of is Mr. T. I pity the fool! You know I think this is ooooogly. But just because I wouldn’t wear it, doesn’t mean I don’t like seeing it on other people. I would have never thought to layer that glitter on that base color. I don’t think they clash too much.
I think they’re mildly delightful and horrendously tacky. But sometimes I’m into that. ;p
And ps I knew you’d be horrified. Haha. You should look forward to another gradient and then some jellies. Oh but I put glitter in them so… whoops. š

Its so ugly its cute! My best friend loves to buy ugly things because they are so cute lol and she does the exact same with her mani’s. I can totally see her wearing your combo. I just bought Mermaid Tale and Spazmatic today since they finally put it out at Sallys. They were only $5.99 cause they are having a sale on all Orly. Yaaaaay considering they’re like $8.99 normally for the fx right? I played it safe with my choices…

Oh believe me… I know. She doesn’t discriminate w her hoarding- even if she “hates” it ;p Those were good fx choices and a good price too! They’re supposed to be $9.99 regularly so good for you!!! š Ahhh I’m glad to hear I’m not the only ugly-lover. Haha. Sometimes I just like to stand out whether it’s for good or evil. š

Yeah, I don’t know what’s up with my WP notifications. I feel like I’m always behind on responding to comments and stuff because they don’t show up right away unless I go to each post individually. Grrrrrrrr!
Yeah mine do that too. I know I miss some sometimes. I love the notification feature but it’s annoying when you kinda rely on it and it doesn’t work. Oh well- we coulda called you a closet glitter lover later for you to see. š
I’m glad you went for it! I think this looks great! It’s such a fun color and the glitter is so unexpected! So, I’d say it’s “so ugly, it’s cute!” š
Alright! That’s my vote for the most part too. Who’d ever want to out gold on chartreuse?! SURPRISE it’s me! š
Dude, I’d totally wear it. I don’t normally like gold, but I do like this combination. I am completely surprised that I think I’d pick up this one over the others…I just like the “round” shapes. I have China Glaze Electric Pineapple, so that’s I guess what I would use were I to partake.
Your nails would look just like mine if you should choose to do that. Twins! š I don’t ever wear gold but I had to pick up this polish because of the different shaped of glitter. And honestly when my Sally’s lady told me there were new (not exactly for sale yet but I could buy them) polishes I felt like I was invited into the inner circle and has to take full advantage! Haha. I just like things that are different and chartreuse/gold combos are not exactly mainstream. š
Oh, I would be all over it if they told me they were new and not really on display yet!
