Hey There Polished People!
Have you seen those crafts on Pinterest where you melt down old partial crayons in a muffin tin and they turn into multi-colored crayon discs? If you work with kids you probably know what I’m talking about. Anyway- today’s nails look like that. Let’s just get to em, shall we?
Melted Rainbow Nails
How To Get These Nails
- Base coat.
- Paint your nails with 2 coats of Nina Ultra Pro French White. This is THE BEST white polish. You can find it at Sally Beauty Supply for like 4 bucks, I definitely recommend you give it a try.
- Allow your nails to dry to the touch. The drier they are, the easier I find the Migi Nail Art pens (in the next step) to work with.
- Using blue, red, yellow, green, pink and orange Migi Nail Art pens or other nail art pens or even toothpicks and those colors of regular polish make oddly shaped blobs of each color on each nail, overlapping just the slightest bit.
- Allow all your beautiful blobs (beautiful blobs must be the follow up song to Fergie’s lovely lady lumps song??) to dry to the touch, then apply your favorite top coat. I used Ulta X Dry this time and wasn’t really a fan. It dried quickly, but dried kind of gummy/rubbery textured which I do not like. I like my glass-smooth Seche Vite but I’m trying not to use it for the time being.
- Show off your rainbow-rific, melted-looking nails!

Yes that’s what I thought too! I didn’t think that many colors could look camo but the way the shapes turned out that’s what it reminded me of.

That is actually a Black-Eyed Peas song and I believe it is officially called “My Humps.” *hangs head in shame* I was fairly into BEP for their first two albums, I think I may even have the third one, but now I’m like, I CANNOT STAND YOU!

I really liked them in the beginning, too, but then idk… I just got, like, OVER them and now Will.I.Am bothers me cuz I don’t think he really makes music… he just like says the same thing over and over. Exhibit a: That britney spears song with him that everyone seems to love. It’s not for me, although if I was out and about at some bar or club or something I’d probably like to dance to it.
OMG OMG OMG!!! We are two peas in a pod yet again!!! Both with our opinion of the BEP and with Will.I.Am…I don’t dig him (or Fergie) independently at all. And I HATE that song with Britney Spears. It is ALL OVER the radio. Britney’s barely even on the song so it annoys me because it’s like, oh, Will.I.Am and Britney Spears, and it’s like, not really. All that said, yes, “if I were out and about at some bar or club or something, I’d probably like to dance to it.”
