31 Inspired Days of Nail Art- Day 4: Green

Good Morning Polished People!!

As a reminder, here are our themes for our nail art days:

… and today brings us to day 4- Green. I hope you enjoy my green nails!! :D

Green Dry Brush Nails:

How To Get These Nails:

  1. Base coat.
  2. Paint your nails with Essie Navigate Her (sexy name, huh? See the review here). I believe I used my usual 3 coats.
  3. Apply a coat of Seche Vite to give yourself a perfectly smooth surface to work with.
  4. Put a dot of NOPI Khloe Had A Little Lam Lam (KHALLL) on a square of foil, and use your clean up brush or another stiff-bristled brush to haphazardly stroke some of the KHALLL onto your nails in any way you see fit. I did a bit of a wavy design. The key is to not get too much polish on the brush to keep it really brushstrokey and lightly applied.
  5. Apply a coat of Cult Nails Two Timer to really pull the nails together.
  6. Add a final coat of Seche Vite and you’re good to go! :D

I don’t know that I’m in love with these nails, they’re just alright. I’m trying REALLLLY hard not to use my stamper… how are you guys liking that? Would you like to see more stamping or are you enjoying the break? Als0- weigh in on these nails. Thanks to everyone for reading and commenting. Even a simple word or two is awesome to read. :) Till next time- Happy Polishing!! :D

    • Oh yeah it’s so easy. The only hard thing (and I’m using “hard” relatively) is that you have to be careful not to totally cover your base polish. And depending on how you stroke it ;) it can look different every time. :) Thank you!

    • Haha I never really thought about the name in conjunction w the color. Why didn’t they save that name for a vampy red or purple or something? Haha. I do still like the name though. :) Thanks!

  1. I never thought about “Navigate Her” as a sexy name and now I won’t be able to think of it any other way! I’m OK with that! ;P
Although I like the swatches I’ve seen of it, I think that color would look puketastic on me…BOO!
KHALLL..hahaha! I actually like that color, but refuse to purchase it based on the fact that it is associated with the Kardashians.
    And a Cult Nails topper…brilliant!
I love these nails. I think they’re way better than just OK. They’re very inspired to me…they somehow remind me of a grassy field and an ocean at the same time.
I don’t particuarly have an opinion on stamping vs. non-stamping, although I think it is cool that you are trying to challenge yourself for the challenge!

    • Yeah I can totally agree w you on not buying anything even remotely Kardashian. I think the whole family quite honestly is disgusting. That being said I did “have” to have this polish and I’m glad I do. There’s a similar sinful colors polish from what I remember in their latest collection if you’re interested. I’m not super into SC so I don’t know the name but I could find it if you are interested.

Thanks for liking these nails so much. The funny thing is that grass was my inspiration. Let me clarify that- grass like a lawn, growing out of the ground, that kind of grass. Not grass like ✌😋😳😴🍁(only imagine it green). So, you’re good! :) Points to you!!
