Good Afternoon Polished People!!
I used to think I couldn’t do nail art because I don’t have that steady of a hand. Well, besides getting a steadier hand through practice, and stamping which doesn’t require steadiness, I’ve learned there are plenty of methods I can do that make awesome looking nails. One of those is the Saran Wrap method. It’s so easy yet creates a really complicated looking effect. Here are my latest Saran Wrap nails, to which I added a coat of glitter. I’m not sure how I feel about that addition. Have a peek and let me know!
These nails are Julep Claire w Julep Morgan applied on top w saran wrap. I then added a coat of OPI Servin Up Sparkle. Glitter is one of those things that can either make or break a mani and I think in this case it kinda broke it. My crappy pics don’t help much either. :p Anyway- let me know what you think, don’t forget to enter my julep giveaway and till next time- Happy Polishing!!

I would prefer a light dusting of the tips, not using glitter on the entire nail. U could also use Northern Lights top coat for a lighter effect.
Doing the tips would have been an excellent idea! Next time I’m on the verge of drowning a mani in glitter I’ll try to remember that!
That looks cool, it is hard to tell what the pattern is under the glitter but you can see the blue and purple. I like it!
Thanks! Yeah I wish I hadn’t used the glitter but oh well- it happens.
I think its really pretty just hard to tell the details with the color choice. I really need to try this. Your always looks awesome!
Yeah the colors are similar, plus the glitter hides lots of the detail. That’s why I was disappointed I nearly killed these nails w glitter. They were super sparkly tho so I liked that! Haha. You definitely need to try it! I better see some Saran wrap nails on your blog soon!
Hahaha yes dear!
that’s a good way to recycle a manicure!!!
Yes it is! Wear one color for a day then saran wrap it for a second. I love doing stuff like that!
This is beautiful! It’s super sparkly!! <3
Thanks! That is something I really liked about it- so so SO sparkly! I loved that about it!
I like it! It’s pretty! Maybe the saran wrap effect is not entirely necessary, but I feel like it wouldn’t have quite as much dimension without it.
I feel the same. You can’t exactly SEE the Saran Wrap effect, but it gives it a bit of a “that looks interesting… What is that?” effect.
Thanks Lesley!
