Good Morning Polished People!
If you follow me on Twitter you might remember how hyped I was when I got my hands on the WnW Fergie glitters. I got Hollywood Walk of Fame, which kind of underwhelmed me (you can see that post here) and also the black glitter, Tonight’s Gonna Be A Good Night (TGBAGN from here forward). Since the first one was kind of a dud for me (very cute but too juvenile according to me. I got two bottles! Anyone wanna trade?!) I was apprehensive to try this. Also making me so late to share it was the fact that I just wasn’t sure what to layer it over. It’s black with some gold so I wasn’t sure grey was the answer, I obviously didn’t wanna do black, I didn’t really love it over pink when I saw swatches… it was a tricky one. Well, I think I have found the perfect base for it!!! Have a look and tell me what you think!!
Tonight’s Gonna Be A Good Night Layered Nails
If you like these (which I did!
) check them out with a matte topcoat. The ones you’re about to see…. I LOVE!!!!
How To Get These Nails:
- Base coat.
- Apply 2-3 coats of OPI Skull and Glossbones.
- Apply 1-2 coats (I did one with a little dabbing) of WnW TGBAGN. (does anyone think this acronym looks WAYYY to close to “tea bagging” for comfort???)
- Apply a coat of Seche Vite.
- Apply a coat of Essie Matte About You (this is technically optional but I definitely recommend it!!!)
- Show yo’ friends!!
I absolutely LOVED these nails!!! I loved them matte because for one, I just love matte glitter of any sort, and two, I thought it made the gold reflect in an interesting way. I will definitely be doing these nails again. Skull and Glossbones was just the perfect base because it’s not so grey that the gold looks weird, yet it’s not exactly beige so the gold brings out too much gold in the beige. A greige is the best option for this polish, if you ask me!
How do you feel about these nails?!
What other color combos should I try with this glitter? I think I’m going to try a glitter sandwich with it and my grey Nfu Oh Jelly Syrup polish. I think the grey over the gold and black will look really cool. Stay tuned for that!
Thanks for reading and till next time- Happy Polishing!!!

first you are googling dirty fetishes now you are into teabagging..what is this blog coming to? hahaha
I know right?!?! Must be why you keep coming back!! :p
hehe always
<3
loooved the matte top coat… i was looking it last saturday, went to a lot of places and didn’t find it.. today i will continue my quest for the matte top coat..
I hope you can find it! I love mattifying my nails! It makes such a cool effect!
LOL about your acronym! I was thinking it looked long even for an acronym, but then you took it to another level!
I LOVE IT! This is significant because I usually don’t like matte anything in the polish world. But the matte mani is super-cool.
You usually don’t like matte?! Even matte glitter like floam or the Nails Inc Sprinkles?? Blasphemy!!! Haha. I’m glad you like these nails tho. I thought the matte topcoat just made them look so cool!
GAH, no! No no no. I like the idea of it, but it just personally drives me bonkers when I wear it.
Hey- to each their own!! I can’t stand non-wrapped tips. That’s my major pet peeve.
Oh and ps- you can always count on me to take it to the next level in real life, but I try to calm it down on my blog a bit. You never know how people are going to interpret your sense of humor! Haha. Guess I failed! :p
Oh, I’m pretty much there with you. I feel like a perv sometimes, except around my closest friends, who are the same way!
And it’s ironic that now we are having a very similar conversation on Twitter! Haha.
This is such a great combo, Nicole!
I absolutely love it with the matte coat!!!
Thank you!! I seriously felt like some sort of polish pairing genius because I loved this so much!! Haha. I agree about the matte topcoat. Next time I wear these (and I’m totally gonna have to) I’ll matte them again cuz I just thought that made them look so cool!
Thanks again!!
The matte coat looks amazing!
Thank you!!! I totally agree. It’s probably one of my all time favorite uses of the matte topcoat.
Thanks for reading and commenting.
I love the matte look. It’s purdy even though I’m not a huge fan of gold glittah…it’s too bling bling for me.I don’t know why, but I keep thinking of mold when I see the black glitter. lol I see the tea bagging thing but I first read something like the gangbang…yeah, I know. I’m just a pornographer nail addict who bangs the UPS man for nail polish deliveries. *sigh*
Hahaha oh my gosh that made me laugh so hard!!! If people don’t read our twitter conversations (twittervations?) they are gonna be like “oh my goodness that woman has a lot of troubles!!” haha. Gangbang… Tea bag… I think we’re still on the same dirty, dirty page.
Oh and ps- boo to you for your mold comment!!! Ew! And this gold glitter isn’t even very blingy! But I understand, you gotta keep up your glitter hating front. ;p
Oh I like this look. I have a similar glitter by Sinful Colors or maybe it’s Spoiled and wasn’t sure how to layer it. But I am a sucker for glitters and loved this one. Mine’s not a dupe as it has some teal glitters in to too with the black and gold but it is very similar. I’m going to see if I can find that Fergie glitter, I really like this look.
That sounds really pretty too! I actually love this glitter but I also got the star glitter (2 of them actually) and I don’t like them at all.
It’s too annoying. I don’t know where to find Spoiled brand nail polish but I wish I could find it cuz that sounds really pretty. Or if it is in fact WnW maybe I can find that.
I was just thinking and I bet this would look really good over the right shade of orange for some Halloween nails. Hmmm….
